To Ride A Train....

Sweetheart wanted to take his boys on a train. One night before Thanksgiving, he got the computer and made all the arrangements. It was to be a SURPRISE, and it was.

We drove to the depot and looked at trains while Hurricane said over and over again, "I want to ride on a REAL train." And he did with his brother.

We took The Polar Express.

Each person was given a bell from Santa's sleigh. The boys took ours so they had one for each hand.

Sweetheart wanted to make a memory. The boys could not have been more thrilled.

The Pie Report

The Pie Report.....
German Chocolate Pie
Instead of a book report or some other boring report
I thought I should bring you pie.

Double Layer Pumpkin (I think)
Last November 17, 2012
our annual pie party was held.

Here we are just as the party begins.

We had some surprises like.....

My first roommate drove down with her family from Phoenix area.
She is amazing!

Here is her Hubby and 2 of her sons with Sweetheart.

This is Miss J. She amazes me every time I'm with her!
She teaches music in Primary!

I asked a friend to come and take pictures of the action.
She captured some of the greatest moments.
I love the flying hair!

Miss K with her sweet Babe.

"Mom - Let me G-O!"

Climbing on the new play set....

This is a great shot!
She caught the sword and young man in action!

He is a sweet boy!

He brought his own scooter to go as fast as he could.

She is racing on the speedway (or the race track.)

My happy man

We had such a great time! It is a tradition that we love!

Halloween & Triathlon

Our Clown
The Pirate

My Sweetheart wrote this:
The big news for the week was Mama's Triathlon. She did great. She finished 15 minutes under her goal. Way to go! I explained to the boys that Mama was competing against herself, and that she won by finishing the race. After the race, they went to her and said "Mama, you won!" It was a special moment for her. She is already scheming up her next race. I'm excited for her to make a life change. The fact that she has completed a triathlon is a great thing for her and for our family. (A fringe benefit is that certain clothing items are now a bit loose!)
Before the Triathlon Race
A Few of the Ladies that did it with me.....(Me, Kristi, Nicole, Caroline, Andrea, Julie) There were 2 teams and 4 individuals who did the whole thing!!!!
Just before the finish line

They are my biggest cheerleaders. Hurricane helped me train by telling me when to jump into the pool. Underfoot helped me train by running with me some times.

First Impression

Our friends gave us a hospitality plate when we married that had the statement "A Thankful Heart." I thought for the month of November it was a perfect statement for our front door. I guess I really just want my Mom to see what was on our door for November.

This is how it all looked. The pumpkins were the ones we used for Halloween that we just turned around for November. We used pumpkin face transfers instead of cutting the pumpkins and were able to use them for one more month.
