Chistmas is about...

Hurricane sings often and lots of different music.
Underfoot and he have a remarkable memory to remember lyrics.

Hurricane participated in his class musical performance.
He told us about the message that they were singing about -
Christmas is love.
He said that love is part of message,
but the real reason for Christmas is Jesus.

Hurricane's teacher encourages and pushes him
to be the best he can be.
He loves especially the store she has in class.

We are really grateful for this boy and what he believes.
He decided he wanted to wear the suit and tie.
The principal commented on how much he liked Hurricane's tie.

Piano Musicale

Hurricane had his music class musicale.

He worked on his songs
and then he froze half way through his song.
He felt really sad that he forgot.
He recovered with his second song and 2 scales.

After everyone played, the teacher showed what they learned in class.
Then there were the treats - Hurricane's favorite part.

Pony Piano Player

Hurricane wanted to wear his costume to piano lessons.
Later there was a musical to show off his skills.
When I looked at the piano, it was funny seeing a horsetail at the piano.

First School Performance

Hurricane had his first school performance.
He has been practicing the songs everywhere.

His class sang "Frosty the Snowman"
so he was a snowman.
The performance was fun.

He wanted cookies more than to stand with his teacher.
He did stand with his teacher.
Underfoot stood with the principal.
The principal and the vice principal dress up
and are part of the performance.

A Bug's Life

Underfoot had his 2nd grade performance.
They sang songs about how to be a friend to everyone.
Mrs. M is the music director.

He wanted to go as a stink bug.
We turned him into a firefly.

He had a line in the program.
He liked his costume that we put together
30 minutes before he had to be there.

Underfoot was also student of the week.
His teacher, Mrs. S, is holding his swimming ribbons.
He shared about his family and his hobbies
like swimming, playing the piano, and Junior Ranger.

A Teaser

I went to Time Out for Women conference this past weekend. I enjoyed what I learned, who I spent my time with, and what I learned I can change.

This was one of the many videos shown. The best part of it was the explanation. Hilary Weeks, the songwriter and musician, gave that we each experience trial in our mortal experience. As part of that experience we will have sorrow and joy.

She shared at the end of the music video presentation she invited anyone who wanted to participate in the music video to come and show up. When they arrived on site, they were asked to name their greatest heartbreak and write it on the poster board. The participants didn't know they would be asked before coming. It made for a very powerful statement because we all can name our heartbreak easily. Hopefully we see the joy and blessing of what has come from the heartbreak.

Over the next few days, I hope to share what I've learned and how I hope to choose to become.

Something Beautiful

My BIL shared this. It is beautiful to watch the different flowers blossom. Like in our own lives, we each have a time and season.
What is your season now?

I Am a Child of God

We watched this over and over again. I hope you enjoy it too!
