I went to Time Out for Women conference this past weekend. I enjoyed what I learned, who I spent my time with, and what I learned I can change.
This was one of the many videos shown. The best part of it was the explanation. Hilary Weeks, the songwriter and musician, gave that we each experience trial in our mortal experience. As part of that experience we will have sorrow and joy.
She shared at the end of the music video presentation she invited anyone who wanted to participate in the music video to come and show up. When they arrived on site, they were asked to name their greatest heartbreak and write it on the poster board. The participants didn't know they would be asked before coming.
It made for a very powerful statement because we all can name our heartbreak easily. Hopefully we see the joy and blessing of what has come from the heartbreak.
Over the next few days, I hope to share what I've learned and how I hope to choose to become.

Sounds like a really powerful evening. Glad you got to be there!

Its always good to reflect our points in our lives that have taken us to the breaking point, and then thankfully we have moved on and discovered that the trial only strengthen us for the next trial in our lives. The song is amazing. As is Nie Nie for her courage to share her story and continue to be an example of strength though pain and embrace life with happiness and gratitude.
