What has been happening? The last week of September our LDS ward, our local congregation divided geographically, was split into two congregations. We were basically HUGE! With the change on Sunday night, Sweetheart and I had no assignments to volunteer in the ward. Until Monday morning....
I was asked to help with chartering our new BSA pack, troop, crew, and venturing group. I was driven and tried to get to every boy and parent between the ages of 8 - 18 to register them for the new BSA group by the next Sunday. Then I was asked to help in Relief Society by the next Sunday.
So since the new assignment, my boys have been watching a little more movies than usual. Yesterday morning, Underfoot got up before we did and turned the computer on. He turned it to his new favorite show on the website, The Friend. He then went to the *new* animated scriptures and watched the Book of Mormon Stories over and over again. I couldn't get my camera to catch him, but when we did, he smiled that smile as big as all outdoors.
Not the big happy - but "I'm smiling because if I do I might be done with work" smile. |
I can't wait to catch up with others' blogs that I've missed over the last few weeks. Here is a Book of Mormon forum that has been happening all month. Jocelyn has created the forum to answer questions about the Book of Mormon.

That's always a big adjustment when a ward divides. No wonder you have been so busy!
=)
Leave it to you to jump into the scouting assignment when you had the "downtime". Hope with all the changes you are giving yourself some R&R.
Aw, man...You and me both...SO BUSY! I hope to break that cycle soon, though! heee hee! :) You're a great RS President, I'm sure! You've got the skills, the testimony, and the compassion!
"Help in RS?" Seriously? You crack me up. Now the best VT ever will be the best RS president ever!
You sound like me things are so crazy other things fall through the cracks. Hope things are getting better in that respect. I think we will always be a bit busier that normal with these callings but hopefully as we settle in things will "feel" a little less hectic. Think of you often.
