Marj's Chinese Vegetables

6 full strips lean bacon
4 cups finely sliced cabbage
2 cups thinly sliced (diagonally) celery
1 green pepper, cut into thin strips
1 4-oz. can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 tablespoon sugar
Salt and Pepper to taste

Prepare all vegetables. Cut bacon into1/2-inch pieces. In hot skillet, fry bacon quickly until barely crisp, then add all vegetables, sprinkle with sugar, salt and pepper, adn stir-fry quicly for only about 5 minutes or until barely tender.

Serve at once. Makes about 8 very large servings.
