90 Minute Bread (Jesie Evans Smith)

4 cups hot water
8 T. honey or sugar
4 yeast cakes
4 tsp salt
4 T. melted shortening
10 or 12 cups of flour

Mix into a soft dough, cut into 4 pieces, let stand 15 minutes. Mold into loaves and place in greased tins. Let stand 1/2 hour. Bake 1/2 hour at 400 degrees.

My Note: I use this recipe all the time. I have replaced the melted shortening for olive oil and use 12 T. (3/4 cup) honey. I am still trying to find a good combination of wheat flour to make it somewhat a wheat bread.
