Snapshot: March 2012

We celebrated a birthday last week! He asked for a purple light saber cake.

Underfoot loves to sing. We found at a yard sale a karaoke machine. He sang and sang and sang Primary songs at the top of his lungs.
This is pure joy in him. His eyes are lit up like he's got the best thing in the whole world!
Hurricane also likes to sing. He turns the volume up as high as it will go. I've been amazed at his memory for the words to the songs.
These boots were made for walkin'.... After wearing the same cowboy boots for one year, he got new ones. The boots wore through the sole.
Some times we need to eat ice cream from the bucket.

This other part of this week has been a sad one for us. My cousin, Eldy, passed away. We were very shocked to learn about his death. Eldy was always kind and had a smile for anyone he met. It was said that he never knew a stranger. He was honest and very entrepreneurial.
His sister shared a thought that I think each of need to remember.

So sorry about your cousin, and it's even more of a blow somehow when it's unexpected.

HOpe your little guy has a happy birthday. I love watching kids to karaoke.

Thanks for sharing those words at the end. Helps me to question my actions towards others
I meet. Sorry for your loss. On a different note - I love the karaoke machine.... might need to come sing with you guys sometime :)

Yard sales are the best! I want a karaoke machine! =)

Definitely a good thing to remember... We've all got our trials and issues, being kind, finding the good... that's what's best.
